The name Nusa Dua can be used to refer to a region of southern Bali known as the Kawasan Pariwisata (literally meaning “tourist district"). This area was designed to be the ultimate tourist sanctuary on Bali. Access to this area is limited to three gated security entrances. Everyone coming and going here is subject to security checks making this region of Bali exceptionally safe. The interior grounds of Nusa Dua have plenty of unique attractions. The cultivated greens of the Nusa Dua Golf and County Club provide the best golfing opportunity on the entire island of Bali. The Pasifika Museum, also located within Nusa Dua, is a little known attraction that provides a museum experience that is unmatched anywhere else on Bali. Serangan Island, translated as Turtle Island, is also accessible from Nusa Dua. Guests are invited to join a boat charter to the island. Most of these boats are glass bottomed offering a great view of the exotic sea life below. The island itself is a sea turtle sanctuary, where local scientists work to ensure the safe birth of baby sea turtles. For guests who want their own private get-away, Nusa Dua is certainly a smart choice.
