The Art and Nature of Bali

Departures: Daily, 8:30am
Duration: 9 Hours

Overview:
This day-long tour starts with the famous Barong and Kris Dance show. Find out why it’s so famous, as the performers enact the eternal struggle between good (Barong) and evil (Rangda). Celuk, the center of exquisite silver works, and Mas, known for its fine woodcarvings, are next up on this tour. Surrounded by a large shrine in honor to the God Indra, the holy spring of Tirta Empul is your next stop. Here you will find bathing pools believed to have strong curative powers. On the hill behind this temple you will notice a presidential guest house built by the late President Soekarno. Our next stop is Kintamani, where you can enjoy your lunch while overlooking the caldera lake of Danau Batur below. After lunch proceed with us down the hill-side, where we will pass the greeneries of Tegallalang. After we emerge from the rice terraces and coconut trees, a Ubud art gallery is the next stop. Finally, visit Tohpati, known for its batik, for one last chance to grab a piece of authentic Balinese folk art.
